Draft Development Guidelines - 233 + 233A Johnston Street, Annandale

Earlier this year Leichhardt Council engaged the services of Architects Allen Jack + Cottier to work with the land owner and local community representatives to develop a set of draft Development Guidelines for 233 and 233A Johnston Street Annandale.

After a series of workshops the draft Guidelines have now been prepared and can be viewed/downloaded from Council's Web Site.

The draft Guidelines will be formally considered by Council at its meeting on Tuesday,14 February 2012. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers (Cnr Marion & Norton Sts, Leichhardt) commencing at 7.00pm. The meeting is open to the public.

The draft Development Guidelines will be used by staff - in conjunction with the existing development controls contained within the Leichhardt Local Environment Plan 2000 and the Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2000 - to assess the current Section 82A review application at No.233 Johnston Street Annandale which seeks approval for the demolition of existing buildings, construction of eight residential dwellings / townhouses with car parking and two plunge pools and associated works, and remediation of the site.

This application will also be formally considered by Council at its meeting on Tuesday,14 February 2012.
