Wet Weather Information
Information concerning Council's wet weather and Sporting Ground closures is updated weekly. During periods of wet weather the status will be updated at 9am & 3pm daily where possible.
If it is raining and Council have NOT closed the fields - ALL calls should be directed to club officials NOT to Council.
It is the hirer's responsibility to monitor the status of the Grounds by checking this website or calling the Wet Weather Line on 9367-9190.

Note: **COUNCIL'S SPORTING GROUNDS ARE CLOSED ON MONDAY'S FOR MAINTENANCE**
Council reserves the right to cancel a booking when a Sporting Ground is deemed unsuitable for play due to inclement weather. Grounds may be closed at short notice.
The decision to close sporting grounds is based on a number of factors including:
- The type of sport to be played and the potential for damage to the playing surface;
- The weather forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology;
- The potential for injury to players; and,
- The condition of the ground at the time of inspection and its ability to recover from damage.
If the recorded message/web posting states that the grounds are closed, they cannot be used until a further inspection is carried out by Council and the grounds are re-opened.
Hirers do not have the right to approve the use of the sporting grounds contrary to Councilís advice.
The hirer will be responsible for any members of their group who disobey Councilís advice and use the ground on a day of the booking when the oval is closed.
The hirer will be responsible for all cost of repairs to damage caused by such use. Refusal to comply with ground closures may result in the clubs booking of that ground being terminated.
Refunds
Hirers will not be charged for the hire when a park is closed by Council. They will receive a full refund, when the refund is requested by the hirer within 30 days of the ground closure.
Seasonal/School Hirers will not be charged for the hire when a park is closed by Council. Hirers will not be charged a cancellation fee.
If the hirer cancels a confirmed booking and Council has deemed the fields open. The hirer will receive a refund of the hire fee minus a $40 admin fee.
