Water

This section looks at the way we use water and impact on its quality.

Water is our most valuable natural resource. Stores of water can be found in rivers, lakes, harbours, oceans, icecaps and under the ground. The fresh water that we use and depend on everyday makes up only a small percentage of all the earths’ water and therefore must be used sustainably. This means that we need to look carefully at the amount of water we use and protect its quality, so that this resource will remain for future generations.
