LEICHHARDT VOLUNTEER EXPO 2008

Have you ever wanted to get more involved in your local community, but weren't sure where to start? Then come along to the STARS' Leichhardt Volunteer Expo 2008!

The expo will give local residents the opportunity to explore a range of interesting and rewarding volunteering opportunities in the community.

Whether you're into gardening, working with animals, becoming a home tutor, like riding bicycles, history, or something else entirely - there's something for you!

As well as information stalls and displays - there will be a community art activity for the budding artist in you; prizes; giveaways; and refreshments.

 There will be entertainment by an Italian choir, as well as a local singer songwriter moonlighting from his day job!!!

Our very special guest will be the Minister for Volunteering, the Hon. Linda Burney, who will officially launch the expo.
