State of the Environment Report
State of the Environment Reports provide an annual snapshot of how the environment is progressing in Leichhardt. These are submitted to the NSW Department of Local Government every year as part of our formal reporting obligations. The reports discuss land, air and greenhouse, water, biodiversity, waste, noise, heritage and social issues. Where possible key performance indicators have been selected that track progress towards or away from a better environment. These highlight both to the Council and to you where we need to focus our efforts. The State of the Environment Reports also document what the Council has done in the year and what we plan to do in the future to improve the environment.
Leichhardt Council has been producing State of the Environment Reports since 1994.
Electronic copies of reports from the last five years can be accessed here by clicking the links on the left-hand side panel.
Hard copies or CD-ROM for recent years can be obtained by contacting Council.
Copies of all previous reports are held at Leichhardt and Balmain Libraries.
