Precinct Committees
Leichhardt Council is committed to working with residents and to the principles of 'open Council' through ongoing communication and consultation. In line with this approach, Council established the 'Resident Precinct System', encouraging residents through their local Precinct Committee to take an active role in providing input into the operations of Council.
Council prides itself on its commitment to community consultation and involvement. Precinct Committees play an intergral part in the consultation with residents, Councillors and Council Officers.
The Municipality of Leichhardt is divided into seven (7) Precinct areas. To find out your local Precinct area, click on the link for a map of all of the Precinct areas

which relate to Council and their local community. Precinct Committees are open forums which anyone can attend and consult on a range of community issues.
