Planning & Development
The Environmental and Community Management Division of Council carries out a number of functions that aim to maintain, protect and enhance the built and natural environment of the Leichhardt Local Government Area. These include:
- Assessing development applications proposing to build, demolish, alter or change the use of buildings and land and to subdivide land.
- Developing environmental planning strategies that address and manage issues including the environment, transport, heritage conservation and development.
