Big Bike Day is an annual event held every year in September, for both avid and casual bike riders of all ages. The day features entertainment, activities, free bike workshops, bike maintenance, raffle prizes and a group bike ride around the bay.
Big Bike Day was held on Sunday 13 September 2015 from 10:00am-2:30pm at War Memorial Park, Lilyfield. Check back in 2016 for the next Big Bike Day!

The big bike ride
Start and finish from War Memorial Park
Join us for a bike ride around the Leichhardt LGA!
Bike checks are free and mandatory to go on the ride. All riders must bring and wear a helmet.
Everyone is encouraged to join us on the ride, although riders must be 12 years of age or older. Younger people are free to remain in the park during the ride, where there will be plenty of activities for kids.
The ride is just over 6km long at a moderate pace (see map to the right). We use on and off-road shared paths. Leichhardt Bicycle Users Group volunteers and members of the Bike Police Unit will escort the group during the ride.
Everyone is welcome regardless of age or cycling experience. Check out some of the great photos from previous years events!
