If a person wishes to close or partially close a road for any reason they must complete a road closure application form and get prior approval from Council.
To apply for a road closure permit the applicant will be required to do the following:
- Complete a Road Occupancy Permit Application (PDF 171.3KB)
- Complete a Traffic Control Plan prepared by a RMS accredited traffic control person/company
- Pay the Road Occupancy Permit Fee of $1,185.00 (this amount includes $570.00 refundable deposit) The permit fee must be paid at the time of lodgement. You can pay the fee:

All the above documentation needs to be submitted six weeks in advance for approval by the Local Traffic Committee and Council. Normal fees for a Road Occupancy Permit are waived for community events and non-profit organisations.
