Accessible Parking

Council provides accessible public parking for people with a disability throughout the local area and monitors its usage. Residents can also apply for the creation of a designated on the street accessible parking space to be created outside their residential address.

Accessible Parking Spaces

A number of accessible parking locations are listed below.  Council is currently developing a map of all accessible parking spaces in the local government area.  For further information call 9367 9222 - Traffic Section.

Accessible Parking in Balmain
  • 1 Disabled Parking Space in the Council Carpark in Beattie St, Balmain.
  • 1 Disabled Parking space in the Woolworths Carpark in Watson Lane, Balmain.
  • 5 kerbside spaces on Darling St, Balmain (near Montague St).

Accessible Parking in Rozelle
  • 2 Disabled Parking spaces in the Council Carpark in Merton St, Rozelle (western side)
  • 1 Disabled Parking space in the Council Carpark in Merton St, Rozele (eastern side)
  • 2 Disabled Parking spaces in the Council Carpark in Waterloo St, Rozelle
  •  3 kerbside spaces on Darling St, Rozelle near Victoria Road (southern side)
  • 3 kerbside spaces on Darling St, Rozelle near Victoria Road (northern sideside)

Apply for a Disabled Parking Space

To apply for a disabled parking zone a resident is required to:

The Disabled Parking Zone application must also be reported to the Traffic Committee for approval and subsequently reported to Council for final approval. This takes at least six weeks to process.
