Current Work Notices

Over the coming week (weather permitting) Council’s Civil Works section will be undertaking work activities at the following locations:

Weekly Current Works

20 May 2013

  • Day Street Leichhardt full length from Elswick to Renwick (Concrete footpath renewal program).
  • Thorby Avenue Leichhardt from 22 to 30 (Kerb and Gutter work, concrete footpath and stormwater pipe replacement).
  • Piper Street Annandale from 2A to 4 (Concrete kerb gutter and path renewal program)

Other Works

  • Roadworks at the Rear of 17-19 Moore St, Leichhardt
    Works commence 25 March and will take three weeks (weather permitting)
    Works will include removal of the asphalt road pavement and construction of a concrete footpath, vehicle crossing, kerb and gutter and asphalt roadway adjustment to improve the drainage at the rear of the property.

  • Cameron's Cove Boardwalk
    Works will commence 15 April 2013 and are scheduled to be completed in late June 2013
    Work will include construction of a timber boardwalk from Broadside Street through revegetated native bushland area up to Ternen Street Balmain East

  • Roadworks at the corner of Smith and Reynolds Streets, Balmain
    Works will commence 22 April and will take two weeks (weather permitting)
    Work will include the extension of a sandstone kerb on the eastern side of Smith Street at Reynolds Street, Balmain extended by 1.5m and installation of children crossing warning signs (W6-3A) in Reynolds Street on all approaches to the intersection to warn motorists that school children cross in this area.

  • Road Resurfacing Program Mort Street Balmain in Thames Street Wharf
    Works will commence 17 April for one day only (Weather permitting)
    Resident requested not to park vehicles in Mort Street Balmain in Thames Street Wharf Car Park from 7.00am until 5.00pm
