Home Maintenance

The Leichhardt Home Maintenance and Modification Service provides a modification, maintenance, adjustment and advice service to home owners.  This service is only for frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers. Tenants of public housing and privately rented housing can be assisted with work that is not their landlord's responsibility. Our aim is to assist people with access, safety and independence in daily living in their own home, or with a carer.

What Jobs Can We Do?

Modification:
Installing ramps, handrails, hand-held showers and widening doors, correcting bench heights, removing shower hobs, etc.

Maintenance:
Fixing doors, windows, taps, fences and gates, tapwashers, roof repairs, guttering, drainage problems and plumbing, etc.

Adjustment:
Securing rugs, cords, door catchers, curtain rails, modifying furniture, etc.

Advice:
We provide advice on your home maintenance and modification concerns, and also refer you to other agencies if you need extra assistance.
