State of the Environment

The former Leichhardt Council has set goals and objectives for environmental sustainability. You can read about these in the Environmental Sustainability Plan. The Environmental Sustainability Plan corresponds to the goals and objectives set out in Council's Leichhardt 2025+ Strategic Plan.

In order to achieve these goals, we must monitor changes in the environment and the state of progress towards our objectives. Up until 2013, Council produced a State of the Environment (SoE) Report each year that provides information about the local environment and about progress towards our environmental objectives. An SoE Report will now be produced once every four years.
