About the Eco Challenge

The 2016 Home Eco Challenge is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Challenge your household to do something new to reduce your impact on the planet. Households that successfully complete their challenge each month will go in the draw to win great prizes*. Challenges are one month long each. You can do one, two or all three:

  • May: Challenge 1 - Sustainable Food - COMPLETED
  • June: Challenge 2 - Know Your Waste - COMPLETED
  • July: Challenge 3 - Energy and Water at Home - COMPLETED

Please click the links above to register for each challenge. All households are welcome to participate although only residents of the Inner West Council local government area will be eligible to receive prizes.

Lucky draw winners for Sustainable Food won:

Participants in the challenges will receive exclusive invitations to workshops when they sign up:

  • Challenge 1: Making Cheese & Yoghurt at Home on Tuesday 10 May and Thursday 12 May - COMPLETED
  • Challenge 2: Cooking with What You Have on Saturday 28 May and Saturday 4 June - COMPLETED
  • Challenge 3: Tour of Michael Mobbs's Sustainable House on Saturday 16 July - COMPLETED
