Are you passionate about sustainability and the environment? Join the Inner West Sustainable Schools Network (IWSSN)!

It’s a forum for school sustainability leaders to connect, share skills and learning resources, find opportunities, and inspire ideas for growing individual and collective action.

Quarterly meetings are held after school once a term at a rotating host school. Any teachers or parents with an interest in sustainability education are invited, whether they’re currently delivering programs, in the planning stages for sustainability programs, or want to know more about what their schools might be able to do with regards to sustainability education.

The network is open to principals, teachers, specialists, P&Cs, volunteers and educators from all government and non-government schools, and all primary and high schools, in the Inner West Council area (former Ashfield, Leichhardt and Marrickville Council local government areas).

The IWSSN provides:

  • Peer-to-peer learning among sustainability educators in the Inner West
  • Quarterly network meetings to connect, share skills and learning resources, find opportunities and inspiration
  • Teachers can access one hour Professional development accreditation for attending a network meeting
  • A link between Council and schools
  • Connecting schools to environmental programs, local activities and upcoming funding opportunities
