Whites Creek CottageFacility Information

Whites Creek Cottage is a community facility suitable for small community gatherings, meetings, celebrations or low impact events or activities. The facility is operated by Inner West Council - Leichhardt as an unstaffed community venue.

Viewing of Whites Creek Cottage is available only upon appointment.

The facility comprises the following venues available for hire:

  • Melaleuca Room - main room
  • Grevillia Room  - small meeting room

Hire of either of the above listed rooms includes shared use of the facility kitchen which is a basic domestic kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and stove. Cutlery, plates, and glasses are not provided. Within the facility there are 3 trestle tables and 20 chairs available for use. There is a compostable toilet located on the back veranda as well as public toilets are available downstairs at the rear of the premises.

Within the Whites Creek Cottage facility, is the Whites Creek Cottage Stables. The Stables are a covered outdoor area suitable for environmental workshops and activities, as well as a perfect location for children's birthday parties. Please note that your hire of The Stables does not give you exclusive use to the adjacent park land. This space is available for hire through Council's Parks and Playgrounds.


The maximum capacity of the whole facility is 32 persons at any one time.
The maximum capacity of the Melaleuca room is 30 persons (standing).
The maximum capacity of the Grevillia room is 10 persons.

Council staff are available to take enquiries regarding this facility between 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Reduced Fees and Fee Waivers

Inner West Council offers reduced fees and fee waivers for a number of Council venues and services to eligible applicants.
