Facility Information

Annandale Neighbourhood Centre

The Annandale Neighbourhood Centre – was the former purpose-built Council Chambers constructed following Annandale's move to become an independent municipality in 1899. The building represents the growth and development of the local area and continued to be a focus of municipal administration and local community through the early part of the 20th century until 1948 when Annandale was re-absorbed into the Leichhardt local government area. The building continues to be a focus for the local community operating as a neighbourhood centre.

The Annandale Neighbourhood Centre is operated by Leichhardt Council as a staffed community centre. The facility is managed by the Annandale Neighbourhood Centre Management Committee. The administration office is attended on a part time basis by the Annandale Neighbourhood Centre Officer. Please see below for office hours. The centre offers a number of programs and activities for community members, and also offers venues available for hire.
The Annandale Neighbourhood Centre provides a Justice of the Peace service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 2pm and 4pm.
