The Leichhardt community is highly participatory and has expressed the desire to work with Council to create a liveable and sustainable community.
The 
Leichhardt Council-Community Engagemnet Framework (2.90MB) identifies how Council will meet its commmitment to informing, consulting and involving people in Council's planning and decision-making processes.
The Engagement Framework expresses Council’s commitment to open, participatory and transparent governance that forms the foundations of democratic, responsible government.
To complement the Community Engagement Framework above, Council has developed a Communications toolkit which expands on the methods of engaging with the community.
