Barbecues
Leichhardt Council has a number of excellent parks which cater for picnics and family gatherings. The Council also has a number of permanent barbecue facilities which the public are encouraged to freely utilise. Current facility locations include:
Bridgewater Park
Off Margaret Street, Rozelle
(2 barbecues, covered seating area and children’s playground)
Mort Bay Park
McKell Street, Balmain
(2 covered barbecues, seating area, close to public toilets and basketball facility)
36th Battalion Park
Mackenzie Street, Leichhardt
(1 barbecue, seating area. Close to basketball half court and children’s playground)
Whites Creek Valley Reserve
Hutchinson Street, Annandale
(1 barbecue, seating area, bicycle parking. Close to wetlands, basketball court, children’s playground and skateboard ramp)
