Balmain Leagues Club DA

A Development Application for the redevelopment of the Balmain Tigers Leagues Club site was lodged with Council on the 3 September 2009.  

The site involved in the redevelopment includes: the Balmain Leagues Club site at 134-156 Victoria Road; 695-699 Darling Street and 1-7 Waterloo Street, Rozelle.

The development application proposed the following work:

  • Demolition of various structures at the site;
  • Construction of a mixed use development comprising of the following:

         - 136 new residential dwelling;

         - A new Balmain Tigers Leagues Club of 3650m2 in floor space;

         - Commercial office floor space comprising of 1406m2;

         - Retail floor space (including supermarket) comprising of 9514m2;

         - Public accessible plaza 1708m2 in area;

         - Car parking;

         - Strata subdivision;

         - Pedestrian footbridge over Victoria Road
