Monitoring Our Progress

Council monitors its progress against the Delivery Program & Operational Plan including our activities and spending.

We report four times a year on the progress towards achieving our Delivery Program & Operational Plan and further prepare an End of Term Report.

We also conduct regular Community Perception Surveys to measure community perceptions, attitudes and satisfaction with the Council and Council services.

These respective reports are shown below:

Quarterly Progress Reporting

Although only required by legislation to report on Council’s progress under its Delivery Program & Operational Plan on a six monthly basis, Council has resolved to maintain the previous quarterly reporting regime of the management plan, to provide greater transparency and to ensure our community is well informed.

Progress comments against the six (6) Key Service Areas as contained in the Delivery Program and Operational Plan are presented by Objective and Strategy to the Ordinary Council Meeting within three (3) months of the end of the quarter.

Quarterly progress reports against Council's Delivery Program & Operational Plan are available below:

End of Term Reporting

Under the NSW Government’s Integrated Planning and Reporting Legislation for Local Government, Council is required to produce a report on its progress in implementing the Community Strategic Plan during its term.

The aim of the End-of-Term Report is to provide an update to the Leichhardt Community on how the Council is progressing towards achieving the social, environmental, economic and civic leadership objectives of the Community Strategic Plan and in doing so provide information about how effective the Community Strategic Plan has been in delivering the desired outcomes.

Our first End of Term Report is due in 2016 and will be available here once prepared.

Community Perception Surveys

The Leichhardt Council Community Perception Surveys help Council gain an understanding of residents' perceptions, attitudes and satisfaction with the Council and Council services.

The 2015 Community Perceptions Survey provides Leichhardt Council with direct resident feedback, which is used to strategically plan funding priorities and service delivery for the future.  We have been undertaking these annual surveys for many years now to assist in developing our 4 year Delivery Programs and Annual Budgets. Recently, as part of a program of efficiencies, Council resolved to hold the survey biennially instead of annually.

The following reports show the detailed findings based on residents’ views and survey responses.
